Krewe of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade
Each year, the Knight Parade, as well as other fundraising events, helps raise funds for the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Education Foundation, which has provided nearly $3 million in scholarships for local students.
The Illuminated Knight Parade is a rich part of Tampa’s culture and history. This annual event is a unique celebration and experience of Gasparilla and Ybor City.

Where: 7th Ave in Ybor City
- 4 p.m. Pre-parade festivities and meet and greet in Centro Ybor, 1600 E. 8th Ave., featuring Titus O’Neil, Jerry Springer, 98.7 The Shark mascot “Spike” and more, hosted by MOR-TV.
- 7 p.m. Parade begins.
The 2020 Krewe of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade, presented by MOR-TV and co-sponsored by the City of Tampa, takes place Saturday, February 8 in historic Ybor City. The 2020 parade features WWE star and local philanthropist Titus O’Neil as Grand Marshal and TV personality, cultural and civic icon, and fan favorite Jerry Springer returns as a special guest.
The event once again cruises through historic Ybor City with colorful floats, dozens of marching bands, extravagant costumes, local dignitaries and thousands of participants as they throw scores of beads to an expected 100,000 spectators.
Road Closures: Seventh Avenue will close at 2 p.m. Cross streets will close at 6:30 p.m. Paradegoers are encouraged to come to Ybor City early for the pre-parade events and grab a bite to eat at one of the many Ybor City restaurants.
Do I need to purchase tickets?
The Illuminated Knight Parade is FREE. Bleacher seats are available to purchase – click here.
Where can I park?
- Fernando Noriega Jr. Garage – 2010 North 13th Street
- Centro Ybor Garage – 1500 E. 5th Avenue
- Park downtown and ride the free trolley to Ybor.
- Private lots will also have parking available.
What time does the parade start?
It starts at 7ish and runs for about 2 hours. Arrive early to get a good spot. Everyone else will be.
Can I bring drinks?
Yes, but no alcohol. Adult beverages are available throughout Ybor City’s awesome bars and restaurants.
Where does the parade start and end?
Historic Ybor City. The parade route moves east down Seventh Avenue from Nuccio Parkway to 22nd Street.
Are there ATM's?
Yes, there is one at SunTrust Bank – corner of 7th and 17th Avenue.
Is the parade kid-friendly?
Yes…but if we are being honest, it can get a little rowdy in certain places. Arrive early to pick out a good spot.
