Children’s Gasparilla Parade

The Children’s Gasparilla Parade has been sailing down Bayshore Blvd since 1947.

Thousands of pirates, marching bands, dance groups, and other community organizations all participate in the wonderful annual event that is all about the kids.  All events on this day are alcohol free.

2020 Gasparilla Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Rodeo

Where: Bayshore Blvd and Rome Ave

The Tampa Police Department will teach kids vital safety information for bicyclists and pedestrians.  The kids will be fitted with a free, new helmet they can keep (while supplies last) and use on one of the rodeo’s bikes to navigate a fun course while learning essential safety tips.

2020 Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll

Where: Bayshore Blvd
When: Saturday, January 18th, 2020
1:30 PM

The Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll is 1/2 mile down Bayshore Blvd from Howard Ave to Rome Ave.  Participation is open to the public.  Children must be age 5 or under, be in pirate gear, and accompanied by an adult.  No motorized vehicles of any type are permitted.  No walk ups so get your application in by January 5th 2020.  Click here for the application.  

Gasparilla Piratechnics

The battle between the Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and the City of Tampa is recreated with an awesome “Piratetechnic” display.  

FAQ’s

Do I need to purchase tickets?

The Children’s Gasparilla Parade is free.

Bleacher seats are available to purchase – click here.

Where can I park?

  • Very limited parking is available on the streets near the parade route
  • Private lots are available near the parade route
  • Park Downtown at one of the many parking garages

 

What time does the parade start?

It starts at 3:30 and runs until 6pm’ish.  Arrive early if you want a good spot for the kids.  

Can I bring drinks?

Yes, but no alcohol.  The Children’s Gasparilla Parade is an alchohol-free event.  

Where does the parade start and end?

It starts at Bay to Bay and Bayshore Blvd and ends at Edison Ave and Bayshore Blvd.
